This year we are helping to protect students, staff and families against the flu by providing voluntary influenza vaccinations. The nasal mist or flu shot will be administered at Greenway on Friday, Nov. 7th in the Staff Development room from noon to 1:30PM. Please pick up forms from either office or refer to the Greenway WEB site for information and to print the 2 page vaccine consent form. The consent form must be filled out and signed by a parent or guardian for any student under the age of 18, to receive the vaccine.
Juniors or Seniors: There are still 4 spots available for the Hibbing Career Fair being offered on Friday, October 31st. Sign up in Student Services if you are interested in attending.
Also Seniors, be sure to place you order with Josten’s this morning for your cap and gown. All orders after today will need to be placed on-line.
Senior Picture-, baby picture, and senior quote are all due by November 13. “Remember When's” are due by December 12.
The Emmy Foss Memorial Blood Drive, Thursday, November 13. Key Club Blood Drive Committee members, tonight is calling night for the blood drive right after school at the Youth Center.
Today is the Key Club Autumn Bake Sale so look for their table down in the lunch room.
Key Club and Builders club, today is our Fall Hwy Clean Up right after school. Please meet at the Bovey Coleraine Youth Center and we'll leave from there.
There is a Key Club meeting during Advisory today. Builders Club will meet next week.
TRIO/Talent Search will be meeting today. 6-9th graders will meet in the Projects Lab during lunch, 10th & 11th grade during advisory, and seniors you will meet on an individual basis.
Campus Life will be meeting this Thursday instead of tonight due to the section volleyball game. You will be meeting Thursday night at Austin Maasch’s at 7:30.
There will be a fan bus going to the Section Cross Country Meet this week on Thursday available to students in grades 7-12 from both Nashwauk-Keewatin and Greenway. Come support your Titan CC Runners. The cost is $5 and sign-ups are being taken in the AD office at both schools on a first come, first served basis. Please note that since this is an event taking place during the school day, you must be passing all of your classes in order to sign up and be excused from school to attend the meet.
Starting this week, the PRIDE store will open during lunch for 9-12th graders on Fridays only. The store will be open for most of Friday's lunch so remember to bring your PRIDE passport to lunch on Friday.
A representative from St. Cloud State will be here today to meet during lunch with any interested students.
Jen from the workforce will be here today to meet with any students seeking employment. Look for her in the critical thinking area.
There will be an Art Guild meeting in the art room during advisory. Only those students who have currently been coming to meetings will be allowed.
The 2014 Coat Drive sponsored by area community churches has collected gently used coats that will be available to the public next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the 28th-30th. Sizes range from infant to adults as well as mittens, hats and boots. If you need more information, stop by Student Services.
“Dance for Dinners” will be this Friday, Oct. 24th from 6:30-8:30PM in the auditorium. Admission is free, but you may bring a non-persishable food item or a cash donation to be given to the Grand Rapids Food Shelf. This is a wonderful event to help families in need in our area as the upcoming holiday season’s approach.
The volleyball game this evening is"A SECTION PLAYOFF GAME, NO PASSES WILL BE ALLOWED”. This applies to all students, family and staff passes. Again, No passes will be allowed. Cost is $5 per student and $8 for adults. Good luck to our lady Raiders as they take on Two Harbors in the 1st round of section playoffs.
