Congratulations to Chandler Boyd and Sarah Larsen, elected as 9th grade class President and Vice President, respectively.
And 10th or 11th grader interested in Close-up with a chance to go to Washington DC in either 2016 or 2017, please see Mr. Floersheim today or tomorrow.
Monday, November 11th is Engineering Mentoring Night at Barr Engineering in Hibbing.  It is being held from 5-7PM for students in 9th grade through college.  Come talk about your future in engineering and obtain advice on how to get there.  College offering engineer degrees will also be on site to answer your questions.  The event is gree and parent are welcome too.  You do need to RSVP for this event. More information can be found in Student Services.
Girls Basketball captains practice for grades 7-12 will be Monday, November 10th from 6-8pm.  Girls basketball practice will officially begin Nov. 17th.  See Mr. Adamson if you have any questions.
The Key Club Executive Officers Meeting will be next Tuesday, after school at the Youth Center.   The Young Artist Program will be next Wednesday, Nov. 12
Practice for basketball cheerleading tryouts will be held today, and Friday after school in the Multi-purpose room until 5:30.
Students:  The date for Crystal Ball has been set for Saturday, December 13th.
C team and 8th grade volleyball pictures are in Student Services.  Stop by and pick them up.
All students interested in joining Knowledge Bowl at GHS this winter, please sign up by Friday outside of Mr. Floersheim's room this week. The first practice for this season will be next week.
For students interested in Varsity Hockey Cheerleading:
Varsity Hockey Cheer tryouts will be held Saturday Nov 8th from 9:45a-11:15a at the arena
 
Reminder - Middle School & High School WINTER sports Registration is NOW open.

There will be a Winter Sports Player/Parent Meeting is tomorrow night at 6:00pm in the GHS Auditorium.  Parents and players are asked to attend this meeting to go over athletic and academic policies that have changed for this year.

Seniors, remember that next Thursday is the deadline for your yearbook picture.  Please turn them in asap to Mrs. Olson.
Student and staff remember that we be offering voluntary influenza vaccinations.  The nasal mist or flu shot will be administered at Greenway on Friday, Nov. 7th in the Staff Development room from noon to 1:30PM.  Consent forms for anyone under the age of 18, are available in Student Services.
