Announcements:  11/26/2018

 

Juniors, along with Mr. Floersheim's It's Your Future Class and Melissa Sutherland, will travel to Bemidji State University & Northwest Technical College tomorrow. This is an all-day event. We will depart from the NW Doors by Mr. Earley's room at 8:25 a.m. We will return to school by 3:00 p.m. Lunch is provided at by the Greenway Alumni. Students will eat at the BSU dining hall.

 

Sophomores will have a class meeting during advisory this Wednesday.

 

There will be a middle school dance on Friday, Dec. 14 from 7-10. The theme is "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Be on the look-out for more information coming home soon!!

 

There will be a sophomore class meeting to plan the middle school dance on Thursday at 3:15 in Mrs. Vekich's room. If you are unable to attend but would like to help with the dance please let Mrs. Vekich or Mandy Meyer know ASAP.

 

Tomorrow is the last day to order hats from FFA.  Be sure to see Ms. Maninga or an FFa member if you would like to get one.

 

Knowledge Bowl practice this week for grades 9-12 will be at the following times in Mr. Floersheim's room:

 

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: After School

Wednesday: Before School starting at 7:45 AM

 

Plan to be at least once practice this week, with your team.

 

We are still welcoming anyone interested in trying Knowledge Bowl...feel free to come to any practice this week and check it out!!

 

Student Council members:  You will be meeting at lunch today in Mr. Wrights room.

 

Team donations of the food shelf for a chance to win a spot on the Raider Couch is happening this Wednesday.  Bring you team donation to Student Services on Wednesday, and they will be weighed in.  Winners will be announced.

The Closet is a non-profit organization which encourages people in the school and community to donate, trade in, or go to The Closet to receive new or gently used dress clothes or shoes for occasions such as formal attire/casual concerts, sports team dress-up occasions, career days, job interviews, or to just boost your self-esteem by what you put on.

 

Donation drop off sight: Student Services at Greenway High School

 

Location of The Closet: Greenway High School in the Projects Lab by Food Shelf Bookshelf.  What a great way to re-use, be conscious of our environment, and save money too.

 

 

The yearbook staff is selling garters for Crystal Ball. Visit the art room to order. Cost is $10.

 

Crystal Ball Sign Up are with the hockey cheerleaders during lunch through Wednesday. The price goes up.

 

Hibbing Community College’s TECHNICAL CAREER DAY will be on Dec. 7th. The event is open to students in grades 10-12. The day includes tours/hands-on presentations of college technical programs, information about liberal arts options, a free lunch, and t-shirts for all who attend.  Sign up in Student Services for the career path you would like to explore.
