10-15-2014/ANNOUNCEMENTS
Seniors:  Your cap and gown order will be due on Wed. Oct 22nd.  Jostens will be here at 7:45AM in the front lobby.  Please bring your completed order form along with your deposit on order day.  Class 2015 Grad Gear will be delivered on order day with your deposit.  If you are in need of an order form, stop by Student Services but no orders will be taken in the office.
Senior Picture-, baby picture, and senior quote are all due by November 13.  Also seniors, Remember When (your high school memories)-will be completed in your advisory class. “Remember When's” are due by December 12.
And finally seniors, on Tuesday, October 28nd, you will be meeting with the counselor down in the staff development room.   The week of Oct 27th is free college application week.  So during your meeting time you will have the opportunity to fill out an application to be sent to one college of your choice.
The Titan Cross Country team had three people earn All Conference honors and the Girl's Individual Champion yesterday the conference championship meet in Hoyt Lakes. 
Ellyssa Peterson won the Girl's Varsity race, becoming GNK's first ever conference champion. Ellyssa was nearly a half-minute in front of the nearest competitor on her way to victory.
Noah Axley-Cuellar and Dylan Carlson led the GNK Titan boys once again. Both were IRC All Conference, with Noah 5th overall and Dylan 11th.
In the Girl's Junior High Race, Baylie Norris was 2nd overall.
Congratulations to the Titans, who will next race at the Section 7A meet in Cloquet next Thursday as they look to advance to the State Cross Country Meet.
 
Today there will be a Key Club and Builders club meeting during advisory.  This is an important meeting, our Lt. Governor, Connor from Brainerd High School will be in attendance.  This will be a working meeting and we will be doing posters for the bake sale next week.  
Also, a reminder that tomorrow, Thursday is the 4th Annual Bovey Coleraine Youth Center's Harvest Soup Dinner, from 4:30-7 pm at the Grand Rapids Moose. There is no school, so those of you who can at the youth center at like 2 to help load, or 3 at the Moose, it would be greatly appreciated!   If you have posters or tickets out get them taken care of please!  All workers get a free meal.  We have take out available, so please remember to invite your family and friends.  This annual event is a very important fund raiser for the youth center, it purchases ingredients for food for our life skills, feeding programs and baking.
 
GREAT JOB!  All of you Key Clubbers and Builders clubbers who came to the raking fund raiser last night a HUGE THANKS!  It went quick, a lot of work was completed and the BBQ meal in our host and hostess beautiful home was beyond incredible!

TRIO/Talent Search will be today to meet with students.  6-9th students will meet in the Projects Lab during lunch, 10th & 11th grade during advisory in the Projects Lab, and 12th graders on an individual basis.
There is still time to join Art Guild. This art club stays after school every Tuesday in the art room until 5:00
This is the last day to register for the Driver’s Ed classes beginning here on Monday.
 
Junior High Football players that have equipment to turn in, please turn them into the AD office.  And all pony leaque and junior high football players get in free to the football game tonight and you will be served a meal at the field.
Students:   we will have sign-up sheets for Fill-The-Stands at our home football game tonight as our Raiders take on the Bronco’s tonight at home.
